Richard Robichaux
Don't miss Richard Robichaux! As an actor, he has worked with Billy Crystal, Michael J. Fox, Marcia Gay Harden, Kathleen Chalfant, Michael Kahn and many other great actors and directors. Some of his TV/Film credits include: Spin City (ABC), Law and Order (NBC), Law and Order: CI (NBC), Chicken Club (Comedy Central), Hate (Showtime), All My Children (ABC), Scare Tactics (Sci_Fi Channel), Tony n' Tina's Wedding: The Movie (Tribeca Film Festival), and Flannel Pajamas (Sundance Film Festival), Ready? OK! (2008) and Foreign Exchange (2008). Some of his theater credits include: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged at the Century Center in New York. Other theaters include leading roles at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC., Yale Repertory Theatre, Syracuse Stage, Indiana Rep, and great theatres in New York, California, and everywhere in between. As a teacher, Richard has worked with the Juilliard School, Yale School of Drama, Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, thespian and film festivals across the country and was interviewed by US Weekly about coaching techniques. Richard holds an MFA from Rutgers University where he studied under acclaimed Meisner teacher William Esper.
Richard's TV commercials credits include a current national campaign for McDonalds. Past credits include the Total cereal campaign (How many bowls would it take to equal one bowl of Total? That was Richard Robichaux!), AOL, Heinekin, Opel (a European Car company owned by Ford), in just the last four years. Richard says that he was against commercials in the beginning of his career and a little too snooty. Four years ago he signed with Paradigm and he has booked a national every year since. He loves TV commercials now. He was frustrated early in his career because he knew he was a good actor but he couldn't book. He started working with a friend, Danny Roth, who is the owner of CastingHouse and CastingHouse West. That is where he learned a lot of what he teaches in the workshop. He saw a lot of GREAT actors making mistakes that cost them... literally cost them. TV Commercial residuals can pay alot of the bills so that you can pursue other things like independent films, unpaid pilots, etc. Don't get left behind. Sign up for Richard's workshop and start booking those great paying TV Commercials, too!
